Another Favorite Restaurant In Southern California – OCMC

I can remember my first trip to Anaheim, CA for work. I have never been to the West Coast prior to this trip. I was going for work to staff a tradeshow. I was excited to see Southern California and all of the west coast hype! It was a long plane ride from Chicago to Anaheim. But we finally landed!!!

It was the typical hustle and bustle of a city in California. Tons of traffic, lots of people and some pretty awesome views of palm trees and mountains!

The first night came and we were all trying to agree on a place to go for dinner. Some of the people that were with us had been there before, so I was relying on their recommendations. Someone said we should go to the Orange County Mining Company. I had never heard of it before, but everyone agreed upon it. We all jumped in the car and started heading towards the restaurant.

It was a bit of a drive from our hotel in Anaheim, but it was a pretty ride. Lots of mountains and curvy roads. Everyone was taking in the scenery. The sun was just about to go down at this point.

We came to the entrance to the restaurant. WOW! It was a curvy, uphill road in the mountains. At times it felt like we were going straight up! It was unreal. We made it to the top and found a parking spot.

The mountains and curvy roads in California are amazing. If you have never experienced this, you need to make a trip to do so!

We got out of the car and took in the views. It was awesome. And, of course, the weather was outstanding too! The evening was upon us and the temps were perfect, as always is in southern California.

We walked into the restaurant and put our name on the list. Walked to the bar and ordered a drink. They told us there was a sitting area outside on a patio. So we went out there to find a nice patio with firepits and a great view of the mountains.

We were then seated shortly after that. We all sat at a booth. I then noticed that the booth side faced these awesome windows which had a view of the city down in the mountains. It was amazing. On top of that, the sun was just going down. WOW again. What a view. Southern California sunsets are A # 1!!! You will never see anything better.

The food was awesome, service was awesome and the view was the best. If you have never been to Southern California, make the trip. If you have never been to the Orange County Mining Company, make the trip!
